A bicycle stand is a structure that allows a bicycle to be stably placed and securely fastened, providing protection against overturning and theft. It can be made from a variety of materials and its shape and size are adapted to different types of bicycles.
APPLICATION:
- Bicycle parking in public areas:
- Stands are most commonly found in cities, on pavements, near schools, offices, shops or railway stations. They allow to leave the bicycle safely during daily activities.
- Enhancing safety:
- With a suitable rack design, the bicycle can be secured to a stable base, minimising the risk of theft. In public areas, monitors are often used and the racks themselves are located in well-lit areas.
- Organisation of space:
- Bike racks help to maintain order in urban spaces. Instead of haphazardly parked bicycles that could block passageways or endanger pedestrians, bicycles are positioned in designated areas.
